Provincial Chapter


Provincial Chapter - In the Franciscan movement a collegial body consisting of religious people called to address important matters of a particular religious province, as. for example the choice of the provincial minister and the provincial governor, or the necessary reforms of the common life.

According to the General Statutes, the Provincial Chapter is the institution of the highest importance for ordering the life and mission of the friars in the province or custody. It should take place every three years.
