Piotr Mordel


Piotr Mordel (born April 10, 1961 in Lublin) - Polish cabaret actress, graphic designer, founder of the Mordellus Press publishing house in Berlin and co-founder of the Polish failure club.

In 1983 he graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Lublin University of Technology and in 1997 he studied at the computer graphics school in Berlin.

During martial law he participated in illegal publishing in Lublin. In 1987 he was imprisoned by the Security Service. He has lived in Berlin since 1988. In 1992, he founded the Mordellus publishing house, in which about forty items of literature in Polish and German were published until 2000.

In 2000, he became a founding member of the "Association of Polish Losers" (Bund der Polnischen Versager) and a board member of the Club of Polish Losers established in 2001, based in Berlin. In the club he is also active as an actor and moderator of club events. Together with Adam Gusowski, he appears in the radio programs "Adam Gusowski and Piotr Mordel Leutnant-Show" broadcast every Saturday at 21:37 in the multilingual program COSMO, which is a co-production of WDR and RBB. In addition, he appears along with Adam Gusowski in satirical films available on YouTube.

Together with Adam Gusowski and Joanna, Charchan created the band Show-band.
