Life was postponed from the Latin work of Gesta Romanorum. He appeared in Cracow in the Szarfenberg printing house. In the same book, there is also the Life of Eustachian Martyr. A copy of the work is located in the Jagiellonian Library in Cracow. The life of Blessed Alexei develops another version of the story of the saint than the preceding verse of the legend of Saint Alexei.

The translation of the translations is uncertain. The translator could be Jan from Koszyczek and Jan Sandecki-Malecki, editor of the translation. However, it can not be excluded that the translator was Sandecki-Malecki, who also put a short poem to the reader at the beginning of the volume, signed "Jan S. did". Bibliography
