Jerzy Piwowar


Jerzy Piwowar (born 10 October 1946 in Olszyn) is a Polish volleyball player and volleyball coach. Winner of the title of Polish Champion as coach of Hutnik Cracow (1988, 1989). Curriculum vitae As a player he represented the colors of Sokół Stary Sacz, Beskidu Nowy Sacz, Skawina Skawina (1966-1967), AZS Cracow (1967-1971) and Hutnika Cracow (1971-1975). His biggest success was to win the Polish Cup in 1974.

At the end of his career he remained in Hutnik as a coach. Since 1977 he led the first team, winning twice with Poland's vice-championship (1978, 1979) and bronze medal in 1981. He left the club after the end of the 1981/1982 season. From 1981-1982, he was also an assistant to Aleksander Skiby in the senior Polish national team. In this role he played in the vice-championship of Europe in 1981, as well as in the World Cup in 1981 and in the 1982 World Cup. In the 1985/1986 season he again took over the team of Hutnik Kraków. He won the bronze medal of the Polish championship (1986), the vice-championship of Poland (1987), the championship of Poland (1988 and 1989) and the vice-championship of Poland (1990), as well as the Polish Cup in 1988 and 1990. In the years 1990-1991 he ran The Tunisian team of La Marsa, in 1991-1993 the French Le Saint-Nazaire Volley-Ball and in 1992 introduced her to the elite. In 1995-2000 he was a coach of Okocimski Brzesko (in 1999 he was introduced to Serie B in the Polish league), in 2002 he was in charge of maintenance of Wanda Cracow in the second division. He was also a trainer of the Cracow University of Technology (2007-2008), AZS AGH Cracow (2011-2012) and another Hutnika Cracow (2014-2015).

He graduated from the School of Physical Education in Cracow and is a long-term employee of the Academy of Physical Education in Cracow. Bibliography
