Veronica Guerin (born July 5, 1958 in Dublin, June 26, 1996 in Dublin) is an Irish journalist.

At the beginning of her journalistic career she worked in the newspapers "Sunday Business Post" and "Sunday Tribune". Since 1994, she has written about crimes in Ireland in the Sunday Independent.

She was murdered by drug traffickers on June 26, 1996 in her car at traffic lights in one of the busiest areas of the city.

In the 2003 film Veronica Guerin, whose story focuses on the life of a journalist, the Australian actress Cate Blanchett plays the lead.
