John Blish

John Bell Blish John Blish - American inventor.

John Blish was the US Naval Commissar. He received a patent in 1915 for the invention of a semi-free weapon. In this castle, the self-propelled delay (due to reduction of friction coefficient between the bolt and the chassis) occurs after the pressure of the dust gases (Blish effect) decreases. He has worked with John T. Thompson and his team since 1916 on the construction of an automatic weapon in which a lock was used to self-ignite his idea. Thanks to the cooperation, several models of automatic weapons have been developed, giving the Thompson family of machine guns a start. Bibliography
