Dragan Velić


Dragan Velić serb. Драган Велић (born on November 18, 1958 in Sušica) - chairman of the Association of Serbian Municipalities of Kosovo and Metochia. Curriculum vitae

In 1982 he graduated from engineering studies at the University of Pristina. He was the technical director at the Binačka Morava plant in Gnjilane. In 1992, he became the secretary of the Planning and Construction Department of the Priština City Council and held this function until 1997. In December 1999 he was a signatory to the Sofia Declaration calling for stopping the bloodshed in Kosovo.

In the years 2001-2004 he was the prefect of the Kosovo District, and also the chairman of the executive committee of the Serbian National Council in Kosovo and Metohija. Together with Randel Nojkic, he sat as an observer in the Kosovo Transitional Council of 35 people. Currently, he is the chairman of the Kosovo and Metohic Union of Serbian Communities, he is also the coordinator of the Serbian Government Commission d.s. Refugees.

He lives in Novim Badovac, he is married and has three children. Bibliography
