Constituency of Luxembourg

Luxembourg is a constituency of the European Parliament covering the entire territory of Luxembourg. It was created before the first direct EP elections in 1979 and since then has consistently won six seats. Elections are made using the modified proportional law and the d'Hondt method. The modification is that, in the case of the classical proportional representation, only one vote can be cast by a voter in the Luxembourg Parliament, but six candidates may be selected in addition to the various party lists in Luxembourg.
