Bernard D. Sadow
Bernard D. Sadow (born 1925, died 2011) is an American businessman, inventor of wheel suitcases.
The idea came with the idea of building trolley cases in 1970 when he came back with heavy luggage from his family's holiday in Aruba. In 1970 he filed a patent application and in 1972 he obtained patent No. 3.653.474. Sadow was then a vice president of the company producing coats and suitcases. His invention did not take place immediately, Sadow spent a lot of time presenting his product to shops. The first batch of suitcases began to be available for sale one and a half year after the prototype presentation.
