Bernard D. Sadow


Bernard D. Sadow (born 1925, died 2011) is an American businessman, inventor of wheel suitcases.

The idea came with the idea of ​​building trolley cases in 1970 when he came back with heavy luggage from his family's holiday in Aruba. In 1970 he filed a patent application and in 1972 he obtained patent No. 3.653.474. Sadow was then a vice president of the company producing coats and suitcases. His invention did not take place immediately, Sadow spent a lot of time presenting his product to shops. The first batch of suitcases began to be available for sale one and a half year after the prototype presentation.
