Queen Anne's Gate 16/18 - In the years 1884-1966 the address of the British intelligence services.
At this London address, opposite St. John's. James Park was a small house, where from 1884 to 1901 was the headquarters of the intelligence of the British army. In 1909 there was a headquarters - office and official residence - captain. Mansfield Cumming, First Secret Intelligence Service (MI6). At his command, the building was linked to a secret passage to MI6 headquarters, Broadway.
Cumming was employed in this building until 1923, leaving him with his successors until 1966 - then the facility was transferred to the modern Vauxhall Cross - Vauxhall. MI6 new headquarters Bibliography
