Nenad Čanak


Nenad Čanak, cyr. Ненад Чанак (born 2 November 1959 in Pančev) - Serbian politician and economist, political activist of the Vojvodina Serb, parliamentarian, chairman of the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina. Curriculum vitae

He graduated from junior high school and music school in Novi Sad, then studied at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Novi Sad, based in Subotica. He briefly worked in the music business, then worked in the oil industry. After 1990, he started his own business.

In 1990 he organized and headed the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina, re-elected to the post of party chairman. In 1991 he organized anti-war rallies, after which he was forced to mobilize. In 1997 he was elected to the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia by the Vojvodina Coalition. He was also a member of the Federal Assembly. In the years 2000-2007 he sat in the Vojvodina Assembly, since 2004 as chairman of the regional parliament. In 2007, 2008, 2012, 2014 and 2016 again elected to the Serb parliament.

In 2017, he took part in the presidential election, receiving around 1% of votes in the first round. Bibliography
