Medical make-up
Medical makeup means masking, hiding, camouflaging skin changes such as vitiligo or erythema.
Techniques of makeup can be divided into:
Temporary make-up remodeling involves the insertion of a thin pigmented pigment into the epidermis using a disposable needle, which is used to camouflage various defects on the skin, reproduce tissue defects and to mark changes in various organs. Unlike temporary make-up, it is invasive and is used when the effects of surgery are not accepted by the patient. In English-language medical literature, such techniques have different names. "Intradermal tattoo", "cosmetic micropigmentation", "permanent repigmentation", or "dermopigmentation". In Europe, this procedure is called dermatography and is a form of exogenous pigmentation done by doctors. In cosmetology, it is commonly referred to as permanent or permanent makeup and is most commonly used for aesthetic appearance improvement (eg eyebrow, eyelid pigmentation or lip pigmentation).
In cosmetic make-up, cosmetics are based on waxes or oils in solid form, strongly saturated with pigments, which helps to effectively cover skin defects. These cosmetics allow for a limited time (24-36 hours depending on the recipe), minimize the unsightly appearance of lesions on the skin. Temporary medical makeup is a submedical procedure used in both dermatology and surgery. A few companies specialize in creating cosmetics for temporary medical make-up, as a distinctive sign of such lines is used the name "Camouflage" in the prefix or suffix of the product name.
In Poland, the technique of medical make-up was first described in 2012 by dr. Sylwia Dankowska (Sylwia Nawrot) in his dissertation entitled " Cosmetic techniques for the leveling of skin defects as a complement to therapeutic procedures.
In 2013, the idea of creating the first Polish foundation was established, aimed at increasing the awareness of people suffering from skin problems eligible for cosmetic neutralization with the use of medical make-up techniques, as well as setting up a training center for licensed medical make-up specialists in Poland. They will aid conventional treatment of certain skin lesions and other cosmetic defects. Founder of the founding of the foundation is a long-standing practice of correction and camouflage techniques, the master of makeup Iza Śmieszek-Dorn. In 2014, the Foundation for the Development of Medical Makeup "Kamuflaż" was founded entirely by private founders.
