When

When (That Time, fr. Cette fois) - a play written by Samuel Beckett in English from 1974 to 1975. It was first published in 1976 in the United States. In the same year of May twenty, he was exhibited on the London Royal Court Theater. In West Berlin (also in 1976) the song was directed by Beckett personally. Description of art

The only actor in the drama is a long-haired old man standing on a platform three meters above the stage. The old man listens to the stories of his life, spoken by three voices: A, B and C. Each of the voices tells a different story. All three stories seamlessly interweave, are chaotic, and centered around the same, repeated threads. They talk about, among other things, the meeting of a beloved hero on the edge of a copse and about places he has visited (ruins of a villa, portrait gallery, post office). According to the author of the play, the voice of A speaks of the mature age of the hero, the voice of B with very early youth, and the voice of old age. Each of the votes occurs in the play twelve times. Then there are three parts. The intervals between them set pauses. The voices are called in the following order:

Gby in the third part of the voices are arranged in the correct order (youth, maturity, old age), a smile appears on the face of the protagonist. A similar convention where the character listens to Beckett's voice in other dramas, for example in songs such as No Me, Last Tape, or Lullaby. Bibliography
