Maria Ludwika from La Tour d'Auvergne
Marie Louise Henriette Jeanne de la Tour d'Auvergne (born August 15, 1725, 1793) - daughter of Charles Godfrey of La Tour d'Auvergne, du Bouillon, and Maria Karolina Sobieska. Granddaughter of King John III Sobieski. Maria Ludwika de la Tour d'Auvergne was the oldest of two children of Charles Godfrey de la Tour d'Auvergne and Marie Caroline Sobieska. Her parents split up after a couple of years. Her mother took her to Poland, where she visited her father, Jakub Ludwika Sobieski. Grandpa was very grateful to his granddaughter - he planned to donate a portion of his inheritance and marry a Polish aristocrat. However, the father of the girl who organized her return to France did not agree to these plans.
February 10, 1743, Maria Ludwika was released for Julius Hercules de Rohan, du Guéméné (1726-1800). She gave birth to one son, Henryk Ludwik (1745-1809). Soon afterwards the young married woman became involved with a cousin, Karol Edward Stuart (1720-1788), as well as her grandson Sobieski. In 1748, Maria Ludwika gave birth to a son-in-law, who probably died young.
