Literary Weekly devoted to literature, fine arts and criticism
The magazine was originally edited by Antoni Popliński and Józef Łukaszewicz, but in the end of 1839 Antoni Woykowski took over (1817-1850). Under his leadership, the magazine gained a high literary and nationwide reputation. Weekly collaborators included Edward Dembowski, Józef Ignacy Kraszewski, Karol Libelt, Juliusz Slowacki and Kazimierz Erenberg. The magazine's editor was Julia Molińska-Woykowska, wife of Antoni Woykowski, propagator of emancipation of women. The circulation varied between 1500-2000 copies. The issues of the magazine were prussian censorship. Woykowski also fell into financial problems, resulting in the collapse of the project and closure of the letter in 1846.
