József Galambos


József Galambos (born June 27, 1900 in Gyüre, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg, February 6, 1980 in Budapest) is a Hungarian athlete, long distance runner.

During the Amsterdam Olympics (1928) he took 49th place in the marathon with a time of 3:05:58.

At the same distance he finished 4th at the European Championship (1934), scoring 2:55:14. Four times (1927, 1928, 1932 and 1933) triumphed at the Košice marathon, making him the most successful runner in the history of these competitions. Life records Bibliography
