Grigorij Sebes


Grigorij Ottonowicz Mebes (born in 1868 in Riga, 1930 in Ust-Sysolsk) - Russian occultist, theosophist, martynist, author of a two-volume lecture on secret teachings published in Russian (Enciklopedicheski course on ophultism, 1912 ). He studied at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at the University of St. Petersburg. Then he was a teacher at a real school in Uriupinsko, a gymnasium in Novgorod, a real school in Vologda and in Cherepovec. From 1904 he taught at a real school in Tsarskoe Selo and the Nikolayevsky Corps of Cadets. From 1907 he taught mathematics in the Koria Corps and in the Nikoleevsky Corps of Cadets.

In December 1925 he was arrested on charges of leading the masonic organization and sentenced to three years of Soviet gulags. He probably died in 1930 in Ust-Sysol. He was married to Maria Alfredowna Nestorow. Publications
