Akio Sōda
Akio Sōda (Japanese: 左右 田秋雄, Sōda Akio, born April 10, 1909 in Dairen) is a Japanese hockey player on the grass. Olympic medalist from Los Angeles (1932).
He studied at Waseda University. During his studies he was elected to the national team at the Los Angeles Games. There were only three teams, and Japan won a silver medal with 9-2 victory over the Americans (the representatives of that country suffered a high loss with the Indians 1-11). It was his only Olympic Games. At the Games, he acted as a right-back.
