Pilgårds runic stone
Pilgårds rune stone on 19th century print
Pilgrim Runes (G 280) - A runic stone from Pilgårds in Gotland, a testimony of Scandinavian Viking travels along the eastern Dnieper runway south. <> The stone dated to the end of the 10th century was made of red quartzite and is 60 cm high. It was discovered in a Pilgårds farm in 1870, five years later, in the Gotlands Fornsal Museum, where it is located under inventory number 625. The inscription on the surface of the stone is engraved on the surface of the stone: biarfaa: state: six [o] stain crochet bacon: bruthr ruþuisl: austain: imuar is af[a] : st[ai]n[a] : stata : aft : raf[a] su [f] furi: ru [f] staini: kuamu out of aifur: uifil [ba]uþ [u=m]
What it means: This brightly painted stone was set by Hegbjarn and his brothers Rodvisl, Öystein and Emund in memory of Rafna, who died south of Rufstein. It reached Aifor. Vifil issued an order.
The Scandinavian names Aifor and Rufstein appear to be one of the porpoises in the Dnieper, Nenasyteć, and his first rock, Ranyi Kamiń.
