Gangsta rap


Gangsta rap - rap variety. It was developed in the mid-1980s on the east coast of the United States, but was popularized in the West. The first artist to record a song in the style of gangsta rap was from Philadelphia Schoolly-D. "Gangsta Boogie", because such a title had a song was released in 1984. The lyrics of the songs often talk about life in poverty, gangs, racism and police problems. The pioneer of the genre was Lightnin 'Rod, who, in 1973's album Hustler's Convention, contained a number of themes that would later be associated with gangsta rap.
