Alfred Tonna


Alfred Tonna (born May 31, 1950) is a Maltese cyclist, two-time Olympian.

He participated in the Olympic Games in 1972 (Munich) and 1980 (Moscow). He made his first start in team practice on time, and along with Louis Bezzina, Joseph Said and John Magrim finished 31st on 36 teams (ahead of disqualified Dutch).

Eight years later, in Moscow, he competed in two competitions: again in team rallies on time and in the individual race on the joint start. The individual rider did not finish, but the team finished in 20th place with 23 teams. This time his teammates were Joseph Farrugia, Albert Micallef and Carmel Muscat. He was 170 cm tall.
