Karl August Tavaststjerna Karl August Tavaststjerna (born May 13, 1860 in Mikkeli, March 30, 1898 in Pori) is a Finnish writer and poet, based in Sweden.

He was the main representative of realism in Finnish-Swedish literature. Barndomsvänner (1886) and Hård Tider (1891), as well as the poetics of Dikter (1896) and Laureatus (1897) and the novel En patriot utan fosterland (1896), also devoted to the problem of national identity. > Bibliography
