Jakub Schlosser (born October 25, 1897 in Leipzig, Poland), died?) - Lodz doctor surgeon. Biogram
He was born in the orthodox family of Ajzyk, a merchant. He graduated from high school in Vienna. He studied at the universities of Vienna and Berlin and here in 1929 he received his doctorate in medicine.
In 1931 he started his private practice in Łódź. He lived at ul. <30.
He was a member of the board of the Łódź Branch of the Jewish Country Tourism Association.
He was a supporter of the Jewish emigration to Palestine. He published articles on hygiene and touring in the Lodz newspaper "Lodzer Togbłat", "Najer Fołksbłat" and "Der Judiszer Arbajter".
After the occupation of Lodz by the Germans in September 1939, Chaim Rumkowski appointed him to the Council of Elders of the Jewish community in Lodz, whose members were soon arrested at its inaugural meeting (November 11, 1939) and executed or deported to concentration camps in the area.
