German version of roasted Vorschmack, based on pork, potatoes, grated with grated cheese and browned onion - prepared by the chefs from Rzeszow

Forszmak - borrow from German from the word Vorschmack, Vorgeschmack, appetizer, usually to the main dish, depending on the place and time it will be potato casserole prepared on the basis of roasted meat, herring, broth, onion and eggs, the whole sprinkled with grated yellow cheese. To taste olive oil and pepper; .

The casserole is laid out on a plate of herring and decorated with pieces of boiled eggs. Forszmak is found in the cookbook by Lucyna Ćwierczakiewicz.

One of the versions of the forszmaku is a Lublin sashimi - a kind of goulash, a regional dish with a single pot served on different occasions without the addition of potatoes.
