Dirck van Domburgh


Dirck van Domburgh, Dirk van Domburg (born 1648/49, died 25 August 1712 in Gdansk) is a Dutch diplomat. He was a member of the Utrecht family of patriarchs - his grandfather Ezekiel van Domburgh served as minister, father Cornelis van Domburgh was a treasurer and member of the city council, brother of Cornelis van Domburgh, father-in-law, was mayor. Dirck van Domburgh headed East-Indies (Oost-Indische Compagnie). He served as Commissioner of the Netherlands in Gdańsk (1697-1712), at the same time accredited in Elblag and Konigsberg. He died in Gdansk, buried in Utrecht. Bibliography
