András Baronyi


András Baronyi (born September 13, 1892 in Budapest, June 6, 1944) is a Hungarian swimmer and athlete from the early twentieth century, participant in the Olympic Games. As a fifteen-year-old he took part in the Fourth Annual Olympic Games in 1908 in London. He took part in a 200-meter class race. In the second qualifying race, he finished third with 18: 2, and finished second in the race.

Four years later, at the V Summer Summer Olympics in Stockholm, the Baronyi started at a distance of 100 meters with a dorsal style. He reached the finals, where he finished fourth with a time of 1: 25.2. The bronze medal lost the equal of a second. He also took part in the long jump competition of the place. With a score of 3.13 m he finished seventh.

Baronyi represented the colors of the Budapest club MAC. Bibliography
