March Bretońska
Map of the Franciscan state with the Brittany March marking in orange Forts in Brittany March Marchot Brittany - march founded by the Franks (by Pepin Short or earlier) in the western border of the West Frisian country with the territories of Brittany princes, existing between 753 and 851 and again from 861 to 863/6. Initially it was part of the Neurology League, in an unknown form that existed at the turn of the 7th and 8th centuries with the capital of Le Mans. It served as a defense against the Bretonans, and then also invaded the area by the Normans. Its eastern boundary ran between Dol and Saint-Nazaire, while the south was lower Loire to the estuary. It included the current municipalities of Nantes, Rennes, Vannes and Angers, which were fighting. In 799, Brittany was conquered by Charles the Great, but soon the princes were set free again, who set themselves free. It gained strategic importance during the wars of King Charles II with the counts of Brittany Nominoe and his son Erispoe in the 40s and 50s. Erispoe's relations with the Angers and its peace treaty were divided between the two states: Rennes and Nantes were in the hands of the Bretonans, and Erispoë was crowned king, the rest of the French territory. In 861, on the basis of the Treaty of Entrammes, it was re-assigned to Robert Mocny (covering the territories of Turenia, Andegna and Maine), but the Breton conquered it soon, with the final ending being Robert's death in 866. The title after Robert was inherited by the Archbishop of Cologne, Hugo Death in 886 son of Robert - Odon. When the latter entered the throne, he gave the title to the future King of the Franks and his brother, Robert. The situation was stabilized in 939, when Brittany was much narrower under Alan II Curvyle.
Roland was the most famous carpenter in Roland, known for his Roland Song.
