Fernando Plata (born 28 May 1962 in Guadalajara) is a Mexican racing driver. Career Plata began his racing career in 1989 after competing in the British Formula 3 B class, where he made nine appearances on the podium, including eight times his highest. A total of 89 points earned him a Class B championship. In the same year he was third in the Jewson Scotland Superprix.
