Sayed Abdel Gadir


Sayed Abdel Gadir (Arabic: سيد عبد القادر; born September 22, 1936 in Malakal) - Sudanese boxer, Olympian.

Two Olympians. In featherweight, he performed at the Olympic Games in Rome (1960). In the 1/16 finals he suffered a unanimous defeat for points with Briton Philip Lundgren (0-5). Eight years later, at the Games in Mexico, he competed in the light category. In the 1/32 of the finals he defeated Eugenia Febus on the Puerto Rican points, however in 1/16 the Argentinean Pedro Agüero succumbed to the points.

In 1962 he won the gold medal in the featherweight during the African championship. Bibliography
