Richard Goedeke (born April 21, 1939) is a German climber and author of climbing and field guides and travel reporters. Curriculum vitae
He worked as a geography and English teacher.
He has set many new climbing routes - about a thousand in the rocks of the Ith Ridge, in the German Weserbergland and about 100 in the Dolomites. To this day, we are actively climbing.
Goedeke is a founding member of Mountain Wilderness.
In his books he devotes a great deal of attention to the protection of the environment and to the prudent, friendly nature of the approach to tourism in the Alps. Criticizes the mass tourism, advocates the "Clean Climbing" style, which means climbing without leaving traces.
Since 1981 he has been involved in local politics in Braunschweig. He was the councilor of the Greens Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen from 1981 to 1985, 1993-1996 and 2003-2006. Publications Bibliography
