Appointment - in Trinitology, the attribution of a common whole of the Trinity to the character, property, activity or work of only one Person of the Trinity (eg creation - Father, Redemption - Son of God, sanctification - Holy Spirit). In Catholic dogma it is recognized that, except for the four personal qualities distinguishing the Trinity (the Father gives birth to the Son, the Son is born of the Father, the Spirit comes from the Father [and the Son]) all the qualities and works of God are proper to the Trinity, because of the common nature of the Person .
