Jerzy Wachowski (born September 16, 1932 in Hrubieszów, died December 23, 2004 in Warsaw) - Polish lawyer, political prisoner of the Stalinist period, Jaworzniak Curriculum vitae
Founder and commander of the youth organization "Polish Fighting Youth", operating in Hrubieszów between 1948 and 1950. He was arrested in 1950 and detained in the Castle in Lublin, sentenced to 8 years in prison, after being released from prison as part of conscription military to work in the mine.
In the years 1992-1993, he was a founding member and then a member of the first board of the Jaworzniak Association (National Association of Youth Political Prisoners of the years 1944 - 1956 Jaworzniacy).
Jerzy Wachowski is the author of the Jaworzniak motto placed on many monuments of the memory of young prisoners of the Stalinist period in Poland, including the monument before the prison in Jaworzno: Freedom can be recovered, youth never.
