Dismas Nsengiyaremye


Dismas Nsengiyaremye (born 1945) - Rwandan politician, Prime Minister of Rwanda from April 2, 1992 to July 18, 1993.

He studied veterinary medicine at the University of Liège, where he received his doctorate in 1975. He later worked in Rwanda on government positions related to the agricultural sector. administrator of the National Bank of Rwanda (1981-1984) and secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture (1984-1989). Belonged to the party of the Republican Democratic Movement, he was the first prime minister on this party since 1992. He retired from the accusations of President Juvénal Habyarimana that he was sabotaging the agreement with the Rwandan Patriotic Front. His successor was the Minister of Education in his government, Agathe Uwilingiyimana. During the Civil War he fled to Europe.
