He studied in the cadet corps in Symbirsk, but he did not graduate. Since 1916 was the gardemarin of the 4th Marine Corps Company. In 1917, he was transferred to an independent Gardemarine class. From November of this year he served briefly on the cruiser auxiliary "Orion". He went to Saigon. Upon arriving in Vladivostok in the fall of 1918, he joined the White Army in Siberia. Served in the 1st School Company of the local Marine School. In the autumn of 1919 he graduated from the instructor school, receiving the rank of second lieutenant. From September 1921 to the degree of michmany he served in the Siberian Flotilla Company. In February 1922, he moved to the 2nd Company of the Independent Marine Battalion. Since August of that year he was an officer on the "Manchurian" gunboat. He then became a second class sailor on the "Swir" transporter. After the evacuation of the White troops and other troops arrived in the Philippines. He lived in Manila. He joined the Philippine army, reaching the rank of captain.
