Stanislaw Twardy


Stanislaw Twardy, also known as Stanisław Mareniusz (c. 1532, died September 16, 1580 in Cracow) - a professor of the Jagiellonian University from Marzenin. Curriculum vitae

He was born in a peasant family. He was educated at the parish school in Marzenin. He was educated at the Lubra Academy in Poznan. Around 1552 he undertook philosophical studies at the Cracow Academy. He was accepted into the College of Minor, and in 1569 he joined the College of Majoris.

In 1575 he was awarded the title of Lieutenant, defending the thesis of the primacy of Peter (cirra primarum Petri). W received the title adveriptar cvetai doctorum.

He was a canon of St. Florian in Cracow. Krasomówka, he knew Latin, Greek and Hebrew. He wrote prayer texts and poetry.

He died in an epidemic on September 16, 1580 in Cracow. He was buried in St. Florian in Cracow. His students and friends brought him a gravestone with a poetic epitaph, but he did not. Bibliography
