Pierre Pradier

Pierre Pradier (born 2 July 1933 in Biarritz, died April 25, 2003) is a French physician and social activist, co-founder and chairman of the World Doctors Organization, Member of the European Parliament for the fourth term. Curriculum vitae

He studied medicine in Paris, specialized in anesthesia, practiced as a physician in Algeria. For many years he has made charitable contributions to medical organizations. In 1973 he joined Doctors Without Borders. He was one of the founders of the World Doctors, serving as President (1984-1985) and Director General (1992-1994).

In 1994 he was elected to the European Parliament on behalf of Énergie Radicale, an electoral list created by Bernard Tapie on the basis of the Left Radical Party. He joined the EP in 1999, being a member of the European Radical Alliance.

He died in 2003 of cancer.
