Kaiketsu Zubat


Kaiketsu Zubat, a Japanese character from the tokusatsu genre, created by Shōtarō Ishinomori and Toei's film studio. It was broadcast on the Tokyo Channel from February 2 to September 28, 1977, with 32 episodes. The series was a tradition of Japanese action series from the 50s, but with the style of the 70s. Story Ken Hayakawa (早川 健 Hayakawa Ken) is a 26-year-old main character, a private detective dressed as a cowboy and playing the guitar. After a personal tragedy involving the mysterious assassination and death of his friend Gorō Asuki, he is working against the mysterious criminal organization Dakker, who is suspected of organizing the assassination. To fight Dakker, Hayakawa dresses in a black and red rubber costume and becomes the title Zubat. His Achilles heel is limited to 5 minutes of costume work - if Hayakawa exceeds this limit he will die due to an explosion of electronic circuits in his clothes. The detective has many surprising talents, which surpass the abilities of the criminals pursued by him. Yet it turns out that none of them had anything to do with Asuka's death. Hayakawa's investigation is ongoing, and the killer is only discovered in the last episode. Ken Hayakawa was played by Hiroshi Miyauchi. The actor in several interviews said that this was his favorite role in the career. Cast
