Hans Bütikofer
Hans Eduard Bütikofer-Perret (born 29 July 1915 in Chur, 12 January 2011 in Thun) is a Swiss bobsleigh, silver medalist for the Olympic Games. Career
Bütikofer was a versatile athlete, practicing swimming, athletics, water polo and ice hockey. But in the bobsleighs he achieved the greatest success with his Reto Capadrutt, Hans Aichele and Fritz Feierabend, earning a silver medal in four at the 1938 Olympic Games in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It was his only Olympic start and the only medal won at an international event of that rank. Bütikofer also reached the final round of the Swiss hockey championship in 1934/1935 in the colors of GG Bern. At the end of his career he was an honorary president of the Swiss Olympic Association.
