Zofia Nowakowska (historian)
Zofia Nowakowska (born September 22, 1928 in Milczany) is a Polish historian, teacher, museum and social activist. Curriculum vitae
In 1960, she settled in Gorzow Wielkopolski, where she worked as a history teacher and head of the Nursing Liaison Board. In the years 1968-1975 she was the director of the Lubuskie Museum, then she was the deputy director. She co-created and directed (1972-1987) a division of the Polish Historical Society.
In 1980 he initiated the uprising and headed the Pioneer Club, a organization commemorating and supporting the pioneers of the Gorzów pioneers - a community of people who settled in the city and co-founded the Polish administration immediately after the Second World War.
In 2015 she was honored with the honorary citizen of Gorzów Wielkopolski.
