Microtrichalus retractus - a species of beetle from the hawkish family and subfamily Lycinae.

This species was described in 1998 by Ladislav Bocak.

Beetle length of 5.8 to 10.3 mm. Coloring of the whole body brown. Eyes small. The distance between the front eyes is 1.36 in diameter. The upper lip is much narrower than the front edge of the abdomen. Trapezoidal trapezium, much wider at the base than the front.

Oriental species, known only from the Philippine island of Mindanao.
