Geokorona

Geocoron - a hydrogen envelope of the Earth that forms part of its exosphere, observable in the ultraviolet range in the form of glow around the planet.

Geocoron creates neutral hydrogen that reflects solar radiation from the far ultraviolet range. Its density ranges from about one thousand particles per cubic centimeter on the inner ring of the ring current flowing in the radiation belts to less than one hundred at the geosynchronous orbit. Observations in the Lyman-α wavelength range also show the existence of similar surrounds around Venus and Mars.
