Fernando Serra Leal da Costa (born 1959) - a Portuguese doctor and politician, in 2015 the Minister of Health. Curriculum vitae

He graduated in medical studies at the University of Lisbon. He specialized in clinical hematology and oncology. In addition to professional practice, he included various functions in public administration, including in the advisory bodies to the minister of health. He also became an academic teacher at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa in the Escola Nacional de Saúde Pública.

In the years 2006-2011 he was the adviser to President Aníbal Cavaco Silva for health. In 2011-2015 he was the secretary of state and deputy minister of health in the first government of Pedra Passos Coelho. From October to November 2015 he was the minister of health in the second cabinet of the current prime minister.
