Zygmunt Furtak
Zygmunt Furtak (born in 1911 in Lublin) - Polish political activist.
He was born into a working-class family. He graduated from engineering studies at the Warsaw Polytechnic. He participated in the September campaign, and then until the end of the war he was imprisoned by Germans in prisoner-of-war camps. After the liberation, he served in industry until the post of deputy minister of industry. Member of PZPR.
In 1969 he was appointed an extraordinary ambassador and plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of Poland in the Empire of Japan.
