National Commission for the Investigation of Marine Accidents (PKBWM) - Polish independent commission operating under the minister responsible for maritime economy, conducting investigations of marine casualties and incidents.

The Commission is investigating accidents involving: ships under the Polish flag; under a foreign flag, when the accident takes place in the Polish territorial sea or Polish internal waters; ro-ro ferries or high-speed passenger craft, when an accident occurred outside the Polish territorial sea or Polish internal waters in a situation where Poland was the last country through which the territorial sea or internal waters crossed such a ferry or fast passenger ship.
