Alex Trebek (born July 22, 1940 in Sudbury) is an American television personality of Canadian origin.

Alex Trebek was born in Sudbury, Canada. He started his education at a Jesuit school and then graduated from the University of Ottawa with a degree in philosophy. In 1966 he hosted the Reach for the Top. In 1973 he moved to the United States and worked for NBC as host of the game show The Wizard of Odds. He is married, has two children. Honors
