Jim Downing
James "Jim" Downing (born January 4, 1942 in Atlanta) is an American businessman and racing driver. Career Downing started his career in international car racing in 1964 after competing in the SCCA National Championship Runoffs Formula Vee, where he was ranked in the tenth position. In the following years, the American team also appeared in the World Challenge for Endurance Drivers, the World Championship for Drivers and Makes, the IMSA GTU Championship, the IMSA Camel GT Championship, the IMSA Camel Lights, the IMSA Camel GTO, the IMSA World Sports Car Championship, the Le Mans 24 Hours Mans, the Grand American Rolex Series, the American Le Mans Series, the SCCA Southeast Division National CSR, the SCCA National Championship Runoffs and the WeatherTech Chicago Region SCCA June Sprints®.
