Formation and organizational change

55 Border Patrol Battalion was formed in 1948 in the structure of 19 Border Protection Brigade.

Order of the Minister of National Defense No. 205 / Org. On December 4, 1948, as of January 1, 1949, the Border Patrol Army was subordinated to the Ministry of Public Security. The battalion was taken over by the Provincial Militia Civic Command.

Reformed in 1950 to the 33rd Battalion of the Border Patrol Army. The battalion headquarters and staff were stationed in the Black Dunajec. Organizational structure
