Pacific Institute of the Navy S. Makarov


Pacific Ocean Naval Institute. S. Makarova ros. Тихоокеанский военно-морской институт им. С.О. Макарова - formed 1937 higher military academy, training for the needs of the Navy of the Soviet Union and Russia.

It was formed in Vladivostok on October 18, 1937 as the Third Naval School. May 5, 1939 was renamed the Pacific Naval School (Russia), and on June 10, 1940, the Order of the Naval Popular Commander was given the status of university.

April 21, 1954 The regulation of the Presidium of the Verkhovna Rada of the University was named Stiepana Makarov.

The Institute has five faculties, educating fleet officers in the following specializations:
