Bill Whittington


William Marvin "Bill" Whittington (born September 11, 1949 in Lubbock) is an American racing driver. Career Whittington started his international racing career in 1978 with the GTU IMSA Camel GT Challenge. With a score of 108 points, he placed second in the overall ranking. In later years, the American also appeared in the Lumbermens 500 North American Sports Car Championship, Champ Car, World Sportscar Championship, World Challenge for Endurance Drivers, USAC National Championship, 24 Hours of Le Mans Race, World Championship for Drivers and Makes, FIA World Endurance Championship, USAC Gold Crown Championship, IMSA Camel GT Championship, IMSA Camel GTP Championship and Indianapolis 500.
