Walentina Tokarska


Walentina Gieorgiyevna Tokarska (Russian: Валентина Георгиевна Токарская, born 3 February 1906 in Odessa, died September 30, 1996 in Moscow) is a Soviet theater and film actress. People's Artist of the Russian Federation (1993). Actress of the Moscow Theater of Satire. In 1933 she played a leading role in the satirical comedy Jakov Protazanowa. Puppets. Between 1941 and 1945 she was a German prisoner, and in 1945-53 she was a prisoner in Soviet labor camps. In prison she met with Soviet writer Alexei Kapler, who later became her husband. She was buried at the Jewish Cemetery in Moscow. Selected filmography
